Fresh off an O'Reilly Auto Parts Series championship, Jesse Love is returning to the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals following a one-year hiatus driving a car with another NASCAR connection, in that it will be fielded by Cup Series crew chief Blake Harris.
2nd Opinion Auto Center Racing, owned by Dan and Patricia Harris, have fielded Midgets in the Tulsa Expo for over a decade and the car owned by Blake is part of a larger organizational effort that includes Matt Sherrell, Luke Storer, Tanner Berryhill, and Jeb Sessums.
But this No. 2 will be an effort spearheaded by the recently crowned Xfinity Series champion and the Hendrick Motorsports race winning crew chief.
For his part, Love is no stranger to the building or Midget racing in general as he has made three appearances with overall finishes of B13, D17 and E14.
He has victories in the Xtreme Outlaw National Midget Series, POWRi West and owns the USAC track record at Gas City I-69 Speedway. This discipline was where he spent his formative years before moving onto pavement Late Models and NASCAR national touring.
