The A1GP organisers have decided to postpone on-track activity after a couple of incidents

BEIJING, China (November 10, 2006) - During the first day of activities of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport in China, there were cancelled the practice sessions while organisers undertake further investigations about the current situation at the track. This occurred after two cars experienced minor incidents at turn eight - which is the hairpin at the end of the straight, which caused the first session to be red flagged and it was cancelled all further track action for the remainder of the day.

"The rookies went out for a couple of laps, but most of them did not complete laps. It seems to be that they could not turn comfortably at the hairpin; I think there are parts of the track where it is very narrow and the cars can not turn well. I did not go out because it was only held a part of the rookie practice. They told us that later it is going to be held a meeting, so we are waiting to hear what they tell there," Mexican driver Salvador Duran said.
