Dan Clarke back at Team GBR

British Champ Car star, Dan Clarke, will represent his country for the second time this weekend when, he drives for Team GBR in the A1 GP World Cup of Motor Sport event in Portugal.

Dan made his debut for team and country at the New Zealand race back in January when he was asked to drive at the eleventh hour.

Portugal marks the start of, what Dan hopes will be, a long-term relationship with Team GBR, beyond the final three races of the current campaign at Portugal this weekend, Brands Hatch on May 3rd and Mexico City on May 24th.

"It's brilliant to be back with A1 Team GBR... and its great that we are planning for a long term relationship together into season 5 and beyond. I've got loads to learn and I'm looking forward to the last three races of the season and working with the talented team of engineers and mechanics we have here. We need to start putting together some really solid results, so we can get back to Team A1 GBR's winning ways as soon as possible" Said Dan.

Team GBR has endured a difficult few months; problems with the new car and the inevitable ravages of the economic downturn have thrown more than enough hurdles in the way. The Team remains positive and has taken a leaf out of Brawn-Mercedes' book by already being well into planning for next season in a bid to hit the ground running when the fifth year of A1 GP kicks off in October this year.
