This weekend is set to be ultra-colourful in Malaysia with A1 Grand Prix promoting the event with a ticket giveaway to bring out the 'Pride of Nations' in the crowd. Free general access tickets are being given away to the first 100 supporters for each country to supporters arriving in national theme dress and colours.

Following a disappointing result in the last race in Australia when Canadian driver Sean McIntosh retired with a suspension part failure, the team is looking to bag more points and make another trip onto the podium this weekend. Sean has experience of driving in the hot and humid conditions that are expected from racing in Florida.

Combined with optimism about the circuit characteristics and Sean's qualifying pace in the last round, all the ingredients are there for a successful weekend.

Today's practice sessions saw Sean learning the circuit, going through the necessary processes for bedding in a new engine, learning the track and then a collision with Nelson Piquet Jnr. In the second session he was on the pace putting in consistently fast times and he ended the day second fastest in the session.

Sean McIntosh: "For the first session we had a new engine to bed in -- we used about four laps for installation which used up time. We knew that we had more in the car and then we had an incident with Brazil on one of my slowing down laps so we had to miss 15 minutes of the session. Then just now we went out -- quite relaxed and calm -- and the car's been good straight from the box -- just a few tweaks here and there. We put our heads together in Australia on what was the best set-up to come with and this seems to be good on used tyres which was an area we struggled with at Eastern Creek. It's definitely a good start to the weekend -- but a long way to go - there's no points for practice."
