Piscopo leads Team Italy to double point finish

Edoardo Piscopo and A1GP Team Italy experienced a positive weekend at Taupo. As the package shown a constant improvement, Edoardo started in the best possible way by clocking the fastest lap in practice, while he clinched a Row 4 spot for Race 1. Edoardo drove a flawless race to end up in 7th while, after starting down in 15th, he cruised through the field to take even more points by finishing Race 2 in 8th position.

"I'm really satisfied with the result scored at Taupo this weekend. The squad's lineup was boldened by the arrival of Gianni Reggiani, who joined the engineering compartment, and I'm really happy with the results. The car continued to improve, like my personal feeling. On a track I had the chance to learn last season, we had a very quick pace in practice and, despite a couple of troubles, qualifying turned out to be positive too. During the two races I kept improving, and the good job done resulted in two points finishes that started to move up our standing position".
