Ryan Briscoe to drive for A1 Team Australia
A1 Team Australia is pleased to announce that Indy Racing League and Toyota Formula One test driver Ryan Briscoe will be representing his country in The World Cup of Motorsport for the final two rounds of the championship in Laguna Seca, USA and Shanghai, China.
A1 Team Australia Principal Alan Jones the 1980 Formula One World Champion quoted, "we have been trying to secure Ryan's services for quite while now but due to other commitments he was unavailable. Ryan has an enormous amount of experience and I know he is extremely excited about representing his country and achieving a great result for the team and our major sponsor Foster's"
"I would also like to take the opportunity to say what a fine job our drivers have done representing Australia in this the inaugural year of A1 Grand Prix".
On his announcement Ryan quoted, "firstly I would like to thank A1 Team Australia for giving me the opportunity to represent my country in the World Cup of Motorsport and I look forward to a successful result for the team and our sponsor Foster's which is truly one of the iconic Australian companies."
