Doug Fehan to Discuss ALMS Green Challenge on Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain
Corvette Racing Program Manager Will Answer Viewer Questions About First Earth-Friendly Competition on SPEED TV
NEW HUDSON, Mich., Sept. 26, 2008 -- Corvette Racing program manager Doug Fehan is scheduled to appear on SPEED TV's Wind Tunnel on Sunday night, September 28, between 9 and 10 p.m. EDT. Fehan will discuss the upcoming American Le Mans Series Green Challenge with host Dave Despain and answer questions from viewers. The interview will be broadcast live from Corvette Racing's headquarters in New Hudson, Mich.
The Green Challenge will be contested on October 4 at Road Atlanta in conjunction with the 1,000-mile/10-hour Petit Le Mans. The competition will determine the winning entries in the GT and Prototype classes based on performance, fuel efficiency and environmental impact. Corvette Racing is aiming for an overall victory in the inaugural earth-friendly race-within-a-race.
"The Green Challenge adds an entirely new dimension to racing," said Fehan. "It's not simply a race to the checkered flag -- the Green Challenge takes science, technology and engineering to an entirely new level in motorsports."
