Fans mingle with drivers in San Francisco

WHAT: Several American Le Mans Series drivers will be at Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco to participate in a "Fan Appreciation Day."

WHERE: Aquatic Park in San Francisco, which is located across the street from picturesque Ghirardelli Square. The event will take place on Beach Street between Larkin and Polk streets, next to the Maritime Museum. ADMISSION IS FREE.

WHEN: Wednesday, July 19, 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

FEATURES:
1. Fans will participate in a Tire Rolling Contest. Each fan will be paired with a Le Mans Series driver and they will roll Michelin tires down a 25-yard course in a relay-style format. These are the same tires that will be used in the Grand Prix of Sonoma at Sears Point Raceway, July 21-23.
2. Fans will also be allowed to participate in pit stop demonstrations.
3. Autograph session.
4. Several of the Le Mans sports cars will be on display for fans. Types of cars that could be featured include Porsche, BMW, Audi, Panoz and Dodge Viper.
