American Le Mans Series: Ron Fellows and Johnny O'Connell teamed to come from behind, driving their Goodyear-equipped Corvette C5-R to victory in the ALMS race at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course. It was the fifth time in six races this season the pair has won the class victory.
Another Goodyear team won the GTS title in the only other ALMS event this year, leaving the tire maker undefeated in the GTS class.
The Fellows/O'Connell Corvette finished 10th overall. The Corvette team's other entry, driven by Andy Pilgrim and Kelly Collins, took second place in the GTS class and 11th overall.
James Weaver and Butch Leitzinger, driving a Goodyear-shod Riley&Scott MkIIIC-Lincoln for Dyson Racing, finished third overall. The Dyson team competed in the LMP 900 class for most powerful prototypes.
Didier de Radigues and Bruno Lambert, driving for Dick Barbour Racing, piloted their Reynard 01Q-Judd to victory in the LMP 675 class for slightly less powerful prototypes.
