Goodyear Scores ALMS Class Wins At Sears Point

American Le Mans Series: Goodyear teams won two class victories in the X-Factor Grand Prix of Sonoma race for the American Le Mans Series at Sears Point Raceway. Corvette Racing, led by the duo of Ron Fellows and Johnny O'Connell, led a sweep of the first three positions in the GTS class. Dick Barbour Racing's three-driver team won the LMP 675 class.

O'Connell said, "I think we owe a lot of gratitude to all the guys at Goodyear for staying up at night and giving us these great tires."

Another Corvette, driven by Andy Pilgrim and Kelly Collins finished second in class and the Saleen piloted by Terry Borcheller and Franz Konrad was third.

Milka Duno, John Graham and Didier de Radigues finished 13th overall and won the LMP 675 class in their Reynard 01Q/Judd.

Jon Field and Rick Sutherland finished sixth in the LMP 900 class and 15th overall.

Goodyear is undefeated in ALMS competition in the GTS class this season. That includes victory in the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans last month. Goodyear also teamed with Corvette Racing to win the overall victory in the 24 Hours of Daytona in February.
