Highcroft signs Kerr for final two races in 2007

HIGHCROFT RACING ADDS ROBBIE KERR TO DRIVING ROSTER FOR FINAL TWO RACES OF THE 2007 ALMS SEASON

Danbury, CT - September 20, 2007 -- Highcroft Racing announced today that they have signed Robbie Kerr, a British driver, to drive in the tenth running of the Petit Le Mans in Atlanta and at Laguna Seca in Monterey, CA. Kerr will share driving duties with Highcroft's two main drivers, David Brabham and Stefan Johansson.

Kerr made a trip to the States this week from his home in England to test with Highcroft at the Road Atlanta circuit on Monday. Said Kerr of his first time at the track and in the Acura ARX-01a, "It was my first outing at Road Atlanta and once I was familiar with the track, I really enjoyed driving the Acura. It is a car that gives a driver great confidence."

As a first-time entrant in the American Le Mans Series, he added, "To race for Highcroft Racing, one of the top ALMS teams, is absolutely fantastic. Also, to be able to work with Stefan and David and learn from their sports car experience is a great opportunity. Any driver would want to be in my shoes."

Kerr, who also drives for the British team in the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport series, is no newcomer to the sports car scene. After making his debut for the Zytek team in the Le Mans series (LMES) at Silverstone in 2004, Kerr qualified on pole, outpacing the Audi of McNish and showcasing his ability to adapt to a sports car. He began his career in Karting at age 11 and stepped into single seaters in 1997 when he was 18 in the British Formula First championship.

In 2007, Kerr made his debut in the 75th running of the Le Mans 24 hour race, with the Number 33 Barazi Epsilon, Zytek, LMP2 entry. He partnered with Adrian Fernandez and Haruki Kurosawa, both sports car regulars. The team went on to finish second in the LMP2 category.

Team owner Duncan Dayton said of Kerr, "We're very happy to have Robbie on board for Petit Le Mans and Laguna Seca. He has demonstrated over the course of his career, and especially with his result at Le Mans this year, that he has what it takes to excel in sports car racing. He was on pace with the other drivers during the test this week, so we're looking forward to building on our success so far this season."

The 10th running of Petit Le Mans is the next round of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS). The annual 1,000-mile/10-hour endurance classic takes place at Road Atlanta on October 6th at 11:45 am.
