ANDY WALLACE JOINS JaguarRSR FOR PETIT LE MANS

EAST LANSING, Michigan (September 24, 2010) - JaguarRSR is pleased to announce that Andy Wallace will join the team's two-car effort for the Petit Le Mans, the final round of the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron, September 29 - October 2.

Wallace is a British sports car legend, who is no stranger to Jaguars. He assisted the marque to its memorable victory in the 1988 Le Mans 24 Hours and the 1990 Daytona 24 Hours. Following those career highlights, his resume was enhanced by two more victories in the Daytona 24 Hours (1997, 1999), two victories in the Sebring 12 Hours (1992, 1993), and one victory in the Petit Le Mans (1999).

"For me to get back behind the wheel of a Jaguar racer, and drive for the brand again after all these years, is really going to be special," said Wallace. "The Petit Le Mans is always a tough race, especially with almost 50 cars in the field and all the different classes mixed together. It is a race that I have always enjoyed; Road Atlanta is one of my favorite tracks. I have been following the JaguarRSR team all year, and to take the might of the Porsche, Ferrari, and the rest of the fierce GT2 competition is not an easy task. And yet, race by race the JaguarRSR XKR GT2 is getting better and better, so I am really thrilled to be a part of this program and hope I can contribute to a good result."

This will be Wallace's 11 year of participating in the Petit Le Mans. He is scheduled to reunite with past teammate Butch Leitzinger and Tomy Drissi behind the wheel of the #33 XKR. That puts the trio of Paul Gentilozzi, Marc Goossens, and Ryan Dalziel back together as they were in Le Mans driving the #75.

"We are very excited to welcome Andy to the team," commented Paul Gentilozzi, JaguarRSR Principal Partner. "He is a world-class driver, and has a wealth of knowledge not only in sports cars, but also the Jaguar brand. As we focus on a good run in the Petit Le Mans for both cars - we also look at this as the start of our attack for 2011. Having such a talented, well-rounded driver lineup is only going to help us get the Jaguar where it belongs, at the top of its class."

The team will be taking to the track this weekend to participate in two days of testing before the 1,000 mile/10 hour endurance race, October 2. The race weekend officially kicks off on Thursday, September 30 with two practice sessions. Qualifying will be held on Friday at 3:15 p.m. ET and the race is scheduled to take the green flag on Saturday at 11:15 a.m.
