Monterey, California. The American Le Mans Series is set to round out its stint of five races in seven weeks this weekend at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in California's Monterey Peninsula. The historic 11-turn, 2.238-mile track is often considered as one of North America's finest road racing circuits and has produced many great battles in its long and storied past.

JMB Racing USA has had a streak of bad luck the past few races, which has kept the team from possibly achieving its first podium finish. From crashes at Trois-Rivieres and Mosport to electrical problems at Road America, the team is hoping to triumph over any unlucky situations this weekend at Laguna Seca.

Piloting the team's #28 Ferrari 360 Modena GT will be regulars Stephan Gregoire, Eliseo Salazar, and Iradj Alexander. This trio of drivers has been consistently strong over the last couple of races, only to have any hopes of a high finish diminish due to unfortunate circumstances.

Joining JMB Racing USA this weekend will be Ferrari Challenge standout Stephen Earle, who raced with the team earlier this year at the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 hours of Sebring. Earle won the Ferrari Challenge race in June at Montreal's Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. In addition, Earle competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Spa 24 Hours with sister team JMB Racing of France. Sharing the driving duties of the #29 Ferrari 360 Modena GT with Earle this weekend will be Mark Neuhaus, who has driven everything from Intersport Racing's LMP 675 car to most recently the Saleen S7 of Konrad Motorsports.

Testing for American Le Mans Series teams will begin on Friday, and official practice and qualifying will be held on Saturday. The Fry's Electronics Sports Car Championships will be a timed 2 hour and 45 minute event that will be run on Sunday, September 7, 2003, beginning at 12:00 noon (PDT). The race can be seen live on NBC Sports starting at 4:00 p.m. (EDT).
