Lime Rock: Live coverage of race announced

Braselton, GA - The SPEED Channel will help American television viewers wrap up their Independence Day celebration with a live telecast of Monday's American Le Mans Series New England Grand Prix from historic Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Conn.

The three-hour telecast begins at 3 p.m. (Eastern) on Monday, July 5, and will include live, flag-to-flag coverage of the two-hour, 45-minute timed event for the professional sports car racing series. The American Le Mans Series, which was founded in 1999, has never raced on the 1.54-mile Lime Rock Park, the smallest circuit on the ALMS schedule in 2004.

Leigh Diffey will anchor the SPEED Channel team for the New England Grand Prix, joined in the booth for expert race analysis by veteran driver Dorsey Schroeder. Calvin Fish and Brian Till will cover the action in the pits.

David Lee will be Coordinating Producer for SPEED Channel. Wheeler Television of Charlotte, N.C., will produce the telecast with Executive Producer Patti Wheeler, while the show producer will be Jim Roller. Billy McCoy will direct the telecast.
