TRG, fresh off of a satisfying 4-5 finish at the Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio, arrived Tuesday in Lime Rock, Connecticut for the New England Grand Prix and immediately set to work preparing the twin Porsche 911 GT3 RSRs for round three on the ALMS calendar. Lime Rock Park, located in a historically significant part of the United States, makes its first appearance on the ALMS schedule in 2004, and team owner Kevin Buckler relishes the challenges the track presents.

"The track here is very small, with very few viable places to pass," he said. "With just over 1.5 miles of track and seven turns, it's going to be like racing in a bullring, but it'll make for a very exciting show. Traffic is going to be a major issue at the track, but I feel that our drivers are all skilled at staying out of trouble and navigating the perils of a packed circuit. We are looking forward to the challenge of nailing the setup for this track and we are working on it right now."

As Lime Rock follows Mid-Ohio on consecutive weekends, time for preparation was at a premium between races. TRG used the facilities of a local shop in Columbus on Monday and Tuesday to prepare the cars for the quick transition between courses and setups. TRG will again run back-to-back events in July, first at TRG's home track, Infineon Raceway, then just up the coast the next weekend in Portland, OR. Unlike the Mid-Ohio/Lime Rock double, however, TRG will have the benefit of using its headquarters and all the comforts of home later this month.

Patrick Long was optimistic about his prospects for the third round of the ALMS season. "We learned in Mid-Ohio that we have a very competitive car," he said, "and we're still coming together as a team. I feel that Lime Rock will be a great equalizer for many of the GT teams here, because many of us don't have any experience running at the track. I thrive on small technical tracks, and I know Cort's been here before, so hopefully that combination proves to be successful."

Jim Matthews, who drove brilliantly in round two of the American Le Mans Series at Mid-Ohio with teammate Pierre Ehret, is anxious to get back to racing over the holiday weekend. "I'm looking forward to this race here at Lime Rock -- it's nice to go straight from race to race because you never lose your focus. With luck, we'll keep the momentum from Mid-Ohio and get another good result this weekend."

Speed Channel will broadcast the New England Grand Prix live in its entirety on Monday, July 5th, at 3pm ET.
