J3 Racing Up North at Mosport

Bowmanville, Canada -- J3 Racing has made the trek to Canada for round eight of the American Le Mans Series race to be run at Mosport International Raceway on Sunday.

Tim Sugden and Justin Jackson will try to improve on last years seventh place finish at the track located just an hour north of Toronto. The 2.4-mile, 10-turn natural road course is comprised of undulating and fast turns. The historic raceway at one time played host to Formula 1.

"In today's practice we were working on getting the right combination of shock settings and sway bar adjustments," said Jackson. "The track is one I like and we are hoping for a good run on Sunday. We had a tough race at Road America two weeks ago with the bad timing on the yellows. The car was not bad today, just going through our prerace adjustment program."

Sugden, co-driving the 79/J3 Racing/Porsche 911 RSR, has taken a liking to the Mosport circuit. "I really like racing here. The turns are really fast and the off-camber turn two is a real challenge for a driver. When the car is setup just right, it is really fun to drive through there that section. The track has a lot of personality. We need to work on the front grip of the car and get it to turn in better. Martin and the crew have some ideas, so we are looking for a lot of improvement tomorrow."

The American Le Mans Series race from Mosport race will be televised on the Speed Channel starting at 5:00 p.m. EST on Sunday.
