J3 Racing Ready for Mosport

Flowery Branch, Georgia - J3 Racing is searching for better fortunes as the team heads to Canada's Mosport International Raceway for round six of the American Le Mans Series to be run on August 8th.

Jackson and Sugden are currently eighth in ALMS GT points following their seventh place finish at Portland last weekend.

Justin Jackson finished sixth in Mosport last year and is looking to better that result with teammate Tim Sugden. "I like Mosport. The track has some great high speed sections and lot of elevation changes like our home track at Road Atlanta." said Jackson. "The combination of turns that is four, five and six that lead onto the back stretch is a great sequence of curves and my favorite part of the circuit. Four is almost blind and you have to brake hard into five and then the track narrows and six is the tightest corner on the circuit."

Sugden was not idle between Portland and Mosport. The Leeds, England driver was in Belgium driving a Porsche in the Spa 24 Hours, where he finished in 27th overall after running in third place, eventually falling out with a transmission failure. "I have had an opportunity to go around Mosport and it looks great. The elevation change is very dramatic especially in turn two. The track reminds me a little bit of Thruxton back home. The team has some new bits for the car and Justin and I are looking to have a good weekend."

The race will be televised live on CBS starting at 12:00 p.m. EST.
