Salvation Army Benefits from Petersen / White Lightning Championship Celebration Print

LAS VEGAS, Nev., December 7, 2005 -- Noted artist Paul Holroyd of Batley, Great Britain, has created a special, limited edition print commemorating the 2005 success of Petersen Motorsports/ White Lightning Racing. A run of just 100 prints of the piece, "Team Work", will be offered to the public with all profits from the sale going directly to the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army is the charity partner of Petersen/ White Lightning and the Official Charity of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) through its "Grid Kids" program. The print depicts, in full-color, '05 ALMS Drivers Champion Patrick Long -- who co-drove to the title with Jorg Bergmeister (Langenfeld, Germany) -- behind the wheel of the Team and IMSA Cup Championship winning No. 31 Westward Ho Casino/ MMPIE/ PAWS/ Michelin Porsche 911 GT3 RSR at the Petit Le Mans. Below that primary landscaped image are two black and white pencil portraits; team owner Michael Petersen (Las Vegas), team manager Dale White (Bozeman, Mt.), Long (Las Vegas) and Bergmeister on the podium in one corner while the Petersen/ White Lightning team lines-up on the Laguna Seca grid on the other.

A devoted Porsche fan, Holroyd's works center around the German sports car master. "Team Work" is the second painting of the Petersen Motorsports/ White Lightning Racing Porsche 911 that he has created. The first painting, "Lightning Strikes Twice" was presented this past June at Le Mans to commemorate the team's second victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2004. Other works include modern interpretations of Porsche motorsports events as well as events from its past in sports car racing, rally and more. Further strengthening the act of charity for "Team Work", Holroyd will donate five dollars (US) from the sale of prints from other works of art he has brought to life.

"This is a tremendous honor for us," commented Dale White. "Paul's work is awesome. To have a second piece centered on our team is special enough but to have him step-up and donate all the profits from the sale of 'Team Work' to the Salvation Army makes Mike and me even prouder to be a part of this. This print will hold a place right next to the one he gave me at Le Mans. But knowing that it will help people through the efforts of the Salvation Army makes it even more special to me."

The print will be available exclusively through Holroyd's studio in England and the American Le Mans Series in the United States. Fans and motorsports art collectors can buy their artist signed and numbered prints through the American Le Mans Series Shoppe at www.AmericanLeMans.com. The print is currently available for purchase.

"The Petersen/ White Lightning team is one of the friendliest teams I have ever known," Holroyd commented on his latest work. "Not only do they do an outstanding job with the Salvation Army but they take time out to talk to their fans too-- not to mention their success on the track. I want to help in any way that I can and it's a great honor to be working with Dale and Mike on this project. The painting is to celebrate their well-earned championship title and to help with the outstanding work that they do for the Salvation Army. The painting is titled 'Team Work' and I think that is a very fitting description of the Petersen / White Lightning team."
