Braselton, GA (September 30, 2010) - Muscle Milk Team CytoSport sat out two of three practice sessions during the first day of official on-track activity at Petit Le Mans, but the team is still right where they want to be heading into the remainder of the race week.

On account of the rain falling on Road Atlanta during both the morning and afternoon practice sessions, the team opted not to run in the wet conditions and waited for the night practice to return to the track.

With driver Sascha Maassen posting the fastest LMP2 class lap with a time of one minute 10.947 seconds during Wednesday's test session, the Muscle Milk squad knew that their Michelin-clad Porsche RS Spyder was ready to take on the Road Atlanta challenge.

The German Trio All three drivers took turns completing their mandatory three-lap minimum requirement at the start of night practice. In dry conditions, Lucas Luhr put in a longer stint as he regained his comfort zone aboard the Muscle Milk car.

Prior to his outing during Wednesday's test session, the last time the German had driven the RS Spyder was at Laguna Seca in 2006. However, it didn't show as Luhr went on to register what turned out to be the fastest lap of the night for the team.

What they had to say:

Klaus Graf Headshot Klaus Graf, driver #6 Muscle Milk Porsche RS Spyder "We had to change our plan for the day a little bit on account of the rain this morning and this afternoon because we wanted to make sure everybody got running time. But honestly, Lucas and Sascha didn't need many laps to get up to speed to be competitive so that helps. Having experienced drivers in this type of car makes a big difference. So, I don't think missing out two sessions today hurt us. We had a good session yesterday as well and our Muscle Milk Porsche RS Spyder was once again very good as were our Michelin tires. I think we're looking pretty good at the moment."

Sascha Maassen, driver #6 Muscle Milk Porsche RS Spyder "I really liked my first laps in the car yesterday, it really felt like coming home. The car immediately was up to speed. I felt comfortable and was able to do good lap times. It doesn't happen often that you can come to a racetrack and already the first time on track you have a car that you can go out and run really fast times but that was the case. Today we didn't run a lot because of the rain but it's OK. The Muscle Milk team is well prepared, we could go racing tomorrow and we would be ready because have a good car, a very good team and good drivers as well."

Lucas Luhr Headshot Lucas Luhr, driver #6 Muscle Milk Porsche RS Spyder "It felt really good getting back into the car. After doing a good amount of laps I feel really comfortable. I also feel right at home with Muscle Milk Team CytoSport, everybody is really friendly and making me feel welcome and that makes it easier for me. To drive the Porsche RS Spyder again is just fantastic. It's a fantastic car and so much fun to drive and we were quick. In the end tonight we were behind by about half a tenth, which isn't much. I think the way we are right now, we are already well prepared for the race on Saturday so I am not worried about it. The key in the race will for sure be the traffic. There are a lot of cars our there and you will never get a clear lap, so that will be a factor in the race."
