The popular Ohio-based team will be has entered its AER-powered Lola B06/10 in LMP1 for this weekend's Acura Sports Car Challenge of St. Petersburg. Clint and Jon Field will start the season's first street race alongside Chapman Ducote.

"If you would have asked me five years ago where I wanted to be at the top of my career I would have told you without any hesitation, 'In an LMP1 car'," said Ducote, who raced an Aston Martin DBR9 in GT1 last season. "These cars are truly amazing and probably the most technically advanced race cars on the planet next to a Formula 1 car."

Intersport Racing is the only team in history to have fielded prototype entries in each of the new 11 American Le Mans Series seasons. With 21 American Le Mans Series victories, Intersport ranks fifth among all teams and third among prototype entrants. "We always have prided ourselves on competing with the stiffest competition and we're proud to say this year will be no different," Clint Field said. "Chapman has proven himself to be more than capable of taking on this completely new challenge and we look forward to his contributions this season."

Primary sponsors Strategic Air and Merchant Services LTD both have multi- year sponsorship agreements with Ducote. "We are delighted to be a part of Chapman's motorsports efforts in the American Le Mans Series" said Keith St. Clair, President, CEO of Strategic Air.
