SEBRING, FLORIDA - A stellar lineup featuring the top six finishers from last year's 24 Hours of Le Mans headline the entries for the 49th Annual Superflo 12 Hours at Sebring Presented by Dodge, March 17, at Sebring International Raceway. America's oldest sports car race is the premier event of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS). Defending Sebring champion Audi returns with two new factory-entered R8 prototypes. Audi swept the top three positions at Le Mans last year. In addition, two more Audis have been entered by private teams. Danish driver Tom Kristensen will be going for his third consecutive Sebring win, a feat accomplished only once before in five decades of racing at Sebring. Kristensen will be driving with Italian Emanuele Pirro and German driver Frank Biela, the same trio which drove Audi to a record-setting win last year. The Pescarolo Sport Courage C60 Peugeot, fourth at Le Mans last year behind the Audi team, has entered Sebring along with the Panoz Motorsports team and its exotic new front engine LMP07. Panoz took fifth and sixth place at Le Mans last year. The Chevrolet Corvette team, fresh off a win at last month's 24 hour endurance race in Daytona, comes to Sebring to battle Dodge Viper and the new Saleen S7R in the GTS class. Porsche and BMW entries are prime contenders for GT class honors. A field of 40 cars is expected to start the race, which is preceded by four days of practice, qualifying and support races, highlighted by the Trans-Am Series race on Friday afternoon. The Superflo 12 Hours at Sebring begins at 10:30 am on Saturday, March 17. Gates open at Sebring International Raceway on Wednesday at 7 am. Ticket information is available by calling tollfree in Florida 800.626.7223 or 863.655.1442. -Sebring
