POWERade Named "Official Fuel" Of Clear Channel Entertainment's Motorcycle Motor Sports Series For 2001- 2002

-- POWERade to Sponsor Freestyle Motocross Rider Dustin "Scoot" Miller --

AURORA, Ill., (October XX, 2001) - Clear Channel Entertainment's Motor Sports division and Coca-Cola North America's POWERade brand today announced a one-year multi-property agreement that establishes POWERade as the "official fuel" of EA SPORTS Supercross, Speed Stick Presents National Arenacross and IFMA Freestyle Motocross (FMX) series for the 2001- 2002 season. As part of this agreement, POWERade will also sponsor FMX rider Dustin Miller, one of the hottest freestyle motocross riders currently on tour and second place winner of the Summer X Games.

"Motocross shares POWERade's insurgent, cutting-edge personality and allows us to expand POWERade's involvement beyond traditional sports and into 'extreme sports'," said Rohan Oza, senior brand manager, POWERade. "POWERade will be a part of the action on the track, and we look forward to helping grow the sport of motocross and supporting emerging motocross athletes like Dustin Miller."

POWERade will sponsor the EA SPORTS Supercross series in 15 cities and the Speed Stick Presents National Arenacross Series at approximately 34 events in 17 cities. POWERade will present the POWERshot award to Supercross and National Arenacross riders who reach the critical first turn ahead of the pack in each of the main events. Formerly known as the "hole shot," the POWERshot is one of motocross' most important elements.

POWERade will also be seen at approximately 50 IFMA Freestyle Motocross (FMX) events in 25 cities. The brand will present FMX riders who win various FMX events with cash prizes from the POWERade POWERfund.

"The enthusiasm and sheer number of motorcycle racing fans across the country continues to increase at an astonishing rate," said Paula Balzer, chief marketing officer, Clear Channel Entertainment. "POWERade's integrated sponsorship of Clear Channel Entertainment's motorcycle motor sports series is a win-win combination that should be a big hit with the fans as well as the riders, because it adds fun and excitement to the events themselves."

EA SPORTS Supercross, the world's fastest growing motor sport, is a 16-round tour, which averaged a record attendance of 49,455 in 2001. Originated in 1974, EA SPORTS Supercross is at the forefront of indoor motorcycle racing, often referred to as the Winston Cup of motocross racing.

The Speedstick Presents National Arenacross Series is motocross' farm league, with the fastest stars of tomorrow racing in smaller venues both nationally and internationally.

The IFMA was established in 1999 as the foremost authority on the element of freestyle motocross in the alternative sports world. Through continuing efforts, the IFMA remains the leading sanctioning body for freestyle motocross. - The IFMA series contains more events than all of its competitors combined.
