2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship to Reach Nearly 450 Million Homes Worldwide

80 Countries To Receive the Sport's Most Prestigious MX Championship

MORGANTOWN, W.V. (May 17, 2010) - With a premier domestic television package leading the way, MX Sports Pro Racing and Alli, the Alliance of Action Sports, announce an unprecedented international television package for the 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship. This year, the world's most competitive and prestigious motocross championship series will be shown in nearly 450 million homes across 80 countries on four continents.

In addition to full live HD coverage on NBC Sports and SPEED in the United States, AMA Motocross extends its coverage of the 12-event circuit with both live HD international telecasts and its extensive and timely international highlights series featuring both 250 and 450 Class racing. American Forces Network (AFN) will also carry the live telecasts.

Headlining the international package is the first-ever LIVE television coverage of motocross in High Definition. The 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship LIVE telecast partners include ESPN Brazil, FOX Sports/FUEL TV in Australia and RUSH TV, broadcast to millions of viewers in 52 countries. AMA fans across the globe can follow Chad Reed, Ryan Dungey, Andrew Short and the other stars of the 450 Class as they battle it out in all 12 rounds of the championship series. Additionally, ESPN Brazil will present highlights (24 X 1hr) of both the premier class and the ultra-competitive 250 Class throughout the season.

MX Sports Pro Racing and Alli's highlight series partners include Europe's Extreme Channel, who will air the highlights series featuring both classes, reaching 30 million homes in 52 countries in 12 different languages across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Greenlight TV, with its Motorsports Mundial, Planet Speed, and Max Power programming, reaches over 400 million homes throughout the European Union, Russia and the Asia. The network will showcase highlights of each round of the 2010 championship as will Nuvolari, Moto TV and FOX Argentina, combining to reach over 30 million homes.

"It was a tremendous accomplishment to reach such an incredible number of homes internationally last season," said Nick McCabe, head of Commercial Development for MX Sports. "For 2010, we are increasing our range of exposure to an even larger audience and are presenting the first ever live broadcasts internationally and in HD. All of which is helping the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship continue to grow."

"One of Alli's major goals when starting our partnership with MX Sports was to increase the global television reach, and we're excited to see that goal become a reality," said Mark Carter, general manager of affiliate properties for Alli Sports. "The Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship features the world's best riders, and the world now has the opportunity to watch them on a global scale."

The 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship commences on Saturday, May 22 from Rancho Cordova, Calif., and the 42nd Annual Rockstar Energy Hangtown Classic.
