Monster Energy Kawasaki Opening Day Kick-Off
Irvine, Calif. (January 5, 2011) Monster Energy Kawasaki kicked off the 2011 race season in true "team green" style with the official announcement of the 2011 Monster Energy Kawasaki race teams that included a chance to meet and hang out with all of the team riders, prize giveaways and race shop tours. A very enthusiastic group of employees and industry professionals packed the building, gearing up for the 2011 race season.
The Kick-Off
The event opened with an action packed video showcasing the 2011 Monster Energy Kawasaki race team tearing it up within their individual disciplines. Industry announcer Jason Weigandt hosted the opening ceremonies, introduced the individual riders, and commenced the official announcement of the 2011 Monster Energy Kawasaki Race Teams.
The official 2011 Monster Energy Kawasaki race teams included riders Ryan Villopoto, Jake Weimer, Dean Wilson, Broc Tickle, Tyla Rattray, Josh Hansen, Blake Baggett, Destry Abbott, Justin Soule, Taylor Robert, Bryan Smith, JR Schnabel, Henry Wiles, and Chad George.
Following the announcement of the 2011 Monster Energy Kawasaki race teams, Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. President Tak Teranishi presented championship rings to Jake Weimer, Henry Wiles, and Chad George for their championship performances in 2010.
As the official announcements and presentation wrapped, everyone in attendance was invited to meet the riders and get their autographs. After getting acquainted with the entire 2011 Monster Energy Kawasaki race team, the Kawasaki race shop was opened to check out the bikes and see all the support that keep the riders bikes tuned to perfection for every race. Traxxas also had the special edition Monster Energy Kawasaki RC car on display, along with a collection of specialized RC cars.
With team spirit at an all time high, Monster Energy Kawasaki riders are ready to take on the 2011 season. Anaheim 1 launches off the season on Saturday with other disciplines starting later in the month.
