Patrick Sheltra Uninjured In Automobile Accident

AMHERSTBURG, Ontario Canada (August 10, 2010) - - ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards (ARS) driver Patrick Sheltra was uninjured in a motor vehicle accident Tuesday near Amherstburg, Ontario Canada.

Sheltra, who currently sitsfourth in the ARCA Racing Series championship standings, just 60 markers from first on the heels of a second-place finish in the most recent contest at Berlin (Mich.) Raceway Saturday night left the scene of the accident under his own power.

Terry Jones, a part-time ARCA Racing Series competitor for Jones Group International was a passenger with Sheltra, but was also unharmed in the collision.

"Patrick and Terry are fine," said Chris Knight, Director of Public Communications for Sheltra Motorsports. "Patrick is sore from the impact but is in otherwise great spirits. In no way is today's incident expected to keep him from competing in Sunday afternoon's ARCA race from New Jersey Motorsports Park."

Additional information will be released should any significant circumstances transpire.
