GEORGE JR. READY FOR UNIQUE BERLIN SHORT TRACK

At halfway in the ARCA RE/MAX Series season, Tim George Jr., driver of the No. 2 Ruby Tuesday Toyota for Eddie Sharp Racing, is still excited about visiting some of the circuit's tracks for the first time. Namely, George Jr. is anxious to take to the tight .4375-mile Berlin Raceway this weekend.

"I'm always looking for ways to expand my vocabulary of driving. Berlin will be like no track I've been on before. From my simulator, it seems that you can actually drive off the track and into the woods! I will believe it when I see it," George Jr. said emphatically.

Once George Jr. takes the green flag this Saturday night in the Wolverine Power Systems 200 presented by Generac, the 28-year-old will have just a handful of appearances to his credit at short tracks during his short lived rookie season to date. The last time he strapped into his Ruby Tuesday sponsored racecar on a track shorter than a mile in length, the New York native nabbed a solid top 20 finish, wheeling his Toyota home to a 19th place run at Iowa Speedway just a few weeks ago.

Berlin on the other hand, is a different beast of its own and has produced some of the series' best finishes to date. Not knowing what to expect however, is what has George Jr. so excited about this weekend's run.

"From what I hear, during the race there is no full throttle or going straight. My endurance is up to par, and I look forward to a good Saturday night at the short track in Michigan," he added.

Saturday night's running of the Wolverine Power Systems 200 presented by Generac at the half-mile Berlin Raceway can be heard live on ARCARacing.com at 8:30 PM.
