Knupp, carrying Kentucky Speedway Momentum, Looks for short-Track Success at Toledo

When the stars of the Toledo, Ohio based ARCA RE/MAX Series roll into Toledo this weekend for the Hantz Group 200, Sidney Ohio's Brandon Knupp will be carrying some speedway momentum with him. Just last weekend at Kentucky Speedway Knupp led the first laps of his ARCA RE/MAX Series career and he is looking for success on the half-mile high banks of Toledo Speedway.

The 2004 events at Toledo Speedway were a bag of mixed emotions for Knupp, the spring race saw him qualify 19th, but engine problems ended his day early and he wound up with a 24th place finish. However, the fall event led Brandon and his Mark Knupp Muffler & Tire Ford to a stout 10th place finishing position.

"With 57 cars entered at Toledo, it's gonna be a good show," said Brandon, "I'm really excited about this race, we seem to be improving and we're finally getting things in place so we can be competitive. Last week at Kentucky was really a highlight for us, I've always known we had the ability to lead races and this week on the short track at Toledo we're hoping to see the checkered flag first."

The MKR Team with driver Brandon Knupp will be at Toledo Speedway on Saturday May 21st for a 2-hour practice session, while Sunday May 22 is Pork Pole Qualifying at 11:45am and the start of the Hantz Group 200 by Federated Car Care at 2:00pm, Live on SPEED.
