Eddie Sharp Racing and Ken Weaver Part Ways
Top-10 ARCA Team Moving On For Remainder of 2006 Season

DENVER, NC (August 11, 2006) -- Eddie Sharp Racing announced today that Ken Weaver will no longer drive the number-20 Dodge for ESR on the ARCA RE/MAX Series effective immediately. With several top-10 finishes, including two top-five finishes, already in 2006, ESR will continue to field the #20 entry for the remainder of 2006.

"Ken has chosen not to continue running the ESR #20 Dodge," said Eddie Sharp of Eddie Sharp Racing. "The whole team did everything they could for Ken. We are sorry that Ken has chosen to go in a different direction. While we are going in a different direction, everyone at ESR wishes Ken the best of luck in the future wherever his racing plans may take him."

The number-20 team has been in the top-10 in ARCA RE/MAX Series points from the season's outset. ESR scored a fifth-place finish in the year's first event at Daytona International Speedway and has since gone on to garner a total of two top-fives and six top-10 finishes in the season to get as high as third in points earlier in the season.
