DiCarlo Continues Improvement at Chicagoland

Akin, IL (September 8, 2008) - The Great Clips Race Team with driver Gabi DiCarlo had the "Best of Both Worlds" at Chicagoland Speedway. The Team was sporting a special Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus paint scheme that pretty much described the race weekend. Gabi turned her fastest laps ever at the quick track only to find herself struggling with a car that inexplicably became a handful to drive. DiCarlo was as high as 8th in the lengthy practice and qualified in the top half of the field but when the green flag dropped she was only able to fight the ill handling racer to a 17th place finish. In the post race inspection the team discovered a broken piece in the rear end which would explain why the handling went away

"During our post race inspection we found the problem therefore when we look back at the weekend, the progress that the team showed was outstanding specifically where the driver is concerned," said Doug Stringer owner of Stringer Motorsports. "We overcame a huge hurdle for our mile and a half program"
