ENGINE FAILURE ENDS ALLI OWENS' STRONG EFFORT IN IOWA

Newton, Iowa (April 19, 2008) - Alli Owens' finish in the Prairie Meadows 250 at Iowa Speedway does not reflect her top notch performance. After starting from the 29th position, the 19-year-old driver of the No. 12 ElectrifyingCareers.com Chevrolet marched her way to the 12th spot before an engine failure ended her race on lap 204. She finished 27th.

"Mario (Gosselin) and the team gave me a great car and we were running hard," said Daytona Beach, Fla. native. "We were passing cars and making our way to the front when the engine lost oil pressure. I'm proud of our performance, up until the engine failure. It's very disappointing but we ended the day without a scratch on the car." Owens spent most of her race in traffic and managed to avoid getting caught up in the many on track incidents. "It was pretty hectic out there," said Owens.

"Most of the cautions started in front of us. My spotter did an awesome job keeping me out of trouble. Our goal was to finish and we were on our way to reaching it until we had engine trouble."
