NASCAR, ARCA drivers to kick-off 2003 single-event ticket sales at Kentucky Speedway.
SPARTA, KY. -- Four-time ARCA RE/MAX Champion Frank Kimmel and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Matt Crafton will be on hand from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Kentucky Speedway's Ft. Mitchell office to help kick-off 2003 single-event ticket sales on Monday, Jan. 6.
Tickets will be available throughout the day both in person and online from the speedway as well as Tickets.com Web site and its retail outlets.
"Single-event ticket day is quickly becoming a New Year's tradition for Kentucky Speedway fans," Kentucky Speedway Executive Vice President and General Manager Mark F. Cassis said. "They get a chance to meet circuit drivers, see race machines up close and, with The Daytona 500 right around the corner, wet their appetites for the upcoming race season."
Several "show cars" representing the race series that will compete at Kentucky Speedway during the upcoming season will be on display throughout the day. Kimmel's No. 46 Advance Auto Parts/Pork Producers Ford will join the Indy Racing League machines of two-time league champion Sam Hornish, Jr., and last year's "Belterra Casino Indy 300" pole sitter, Sarah Fisher. The NASCAR Busch Series No. 37 Timber Wolf Ford of Kentucky native David Greene also will be on display with the Official Kentucky Speedway Ford Taurus.
Beginning Jan. 6, Tickets.com will facilitate Kentucky Speedway single-event ticket and Reserved RV camping pass sales to local clients and race fans. Tickets will be available through the Cincinnati Visitor's Center, and select retail outlets in Greater Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio, as well as those in Louisville and Lexington, Ky. Outlets include Meijer stores and supercenters, Play-It-Again Sports stores and Hader Hardware locations. A complete list of retail locations is available online at www.tickets.com/retailoutlets, or www.kentuckyspeedway.com and by phone at 1-888-652-RACE. Tickets.com service fees will apply to all outlet, phone and Internet orders.
Tickets.com will help streamline ticket sales by expanding the Kentucky Speedway call center hours at 1-888-652-RACE (7223) from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday-Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets.com also will provide bar-coded tickets to protect fans from counterfeiting and speed their entry into the facility.
Kentucky Speedway will continue to sell both single-event and season tickets through its Web site, www.kentuckyspeedway.com, and through its Ft. Mitchell office and Sparta Fan Center.
Kentucky Speedway opens May 9-10 with the return of the ARCA RE/MAX Series for the"Channel 5-205" and Legends Series race with NASCAR Winston Cup Series stars. Racing continues June 13-14 when the NASCAR Busch Series convenes to contest "The Meijer 300" and the NASCAR Hills Bros. All-Pro Series runs "The Kentucky 150." The July 11-12 weekend features the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series "Kentucky 225" and NASCAR Goody's Dash Series "Kentucky 150." The Indy Racing League will provide the season finale August 16-17 with "The Belterra Casino Indy 300" and Indy Racing Infiniti Pro Series "Kentucky 100." Visit www.kentuckyspeedway.com or phone 1-888-652-RACE (7223) for complete schedule information.
