Johnny Leonard Announces Team Name Change For 2005 ARCA RE/MAX Series Season
Cape Coral, Florida - - ARCA RE/MAX Series driver Johnny Leonard announced today that he is terminating his JPL Motorsports team name to unveil Florida Motorsports Group launching into the 2005 ARCA RE/MAX Series season.
Leonard, a native of Cape Coral, Florida, participated in seven ARCA events in 2004 posting four top-fifteen finishes and five impressive top twenty finishes. Driving under the JPL Motorsports logo last year, he collected a career best finish of 12th at Michigan International Speedway. In addition, Johnny ended his 2004 season with a strong 13th place run at Talladega Superspeedway,
Leonard announced on December 11, 2004, at the ARCA RE/MAX Series banquet annual press conference that his team would run for the coveted ARCA RE/MAX Series championship in 2005 from Florida.
"We wanted to head into the 2005 season with a new and fresh look," explained Leonard, a former FASCAR challenger competitor. "We are running the full schedule in 2005, and while we thought JPL Motorsports was appropriate for the 2004 season, we wanted to sport a new team name that would stand out for 2005."
Boca Bay Builders who joined the Florida Motorsports Group team at Talladega in 2004 will once again partner up with Leonard and assume primary sponsorship roles on his General Motors products. Founded in 2002, Boca Bay Builders is Southwest's Florida's newest premier homebuilder. Their elite group of building experience brings more than 50 years of combined industry knowledge to your home buying experience.
"We're ecstatic about the 2005 season," added Johnny. "To have Boca Bay Builders on board with us this season is magical. They are a tremendous and impressive operation and I am honored to be carrying their logo this season."
Affordable Roofing, owned and operated by driver Johnny Leonard will maintain co-primary sponsorship duties this season. Proving to be one of the most respected roofing organizations in Southern Florida, Affordable Roofing details your every roofing need at a respectable and affordable rate.
The team is scheduled to operate under their new banner in the ARCA RE/MAX Series 2005 season opener from Daytona International Speedway on February 12, 2005.
