Allgaier Looking Forward to Second Start at Michigan International Speedway
Detroit, MI (August 17, 2006) -Justin Allgaier hopes to continue an upswing this weekend at the Michigan International Speedway after some disappointing finishes throughout July in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. This will be Allgaier's second start at the Superspeedway; the first coming in the spring where he only ran 14 laps before an engine failure ended his day.
"I'm hoping to improve at Michigan," Justin Allgaier said. "We lost an engine at the beginning of the race here in the spring and we don't plan on having that happen again. Our finish last weekend in Nashville didn't really reflect how strong we were. We blew a tire and spun causing a lot of body damage creating a major amount of work when we came home. We worked over 24-hours straight in order to fix the body damage in time to bring it to Michigan. "Gator" is a strong car and I'm looking forward to the start of a turn-a-round in our season."
The Hantz Group 200 is slated to begin at 5:00pm ET Friday, August 18, 2006 at the Michigan International Speedway. The race will be broadcast live on SPEED.
