Kansas City starting line up

KANSAS CITY, KS, 6-1-01 - Ryan Newman, in Roger Penske's ALLTEL Ford, won the Old Milwaukee Pole Award here Friday at Kansas Speedway for Saturday's inaugural ARCA RE/MAX Series BPU 200. Newman, fresh from his pole award last week in the NASCAR Winston Cup Coca Cola 600, qualified with a speed of 171.162 mph. Three-time RE/MAX Series champion Tim Steele qualified his HS Die-Softech Ford outside pole at 170.827. Current point leader Frank Kimmel was third at 169.173 over Ed Berrier at 167.530 and Mike Swaim Jr at 166.430 to complete the top-5.
