Matt Carter Seeks a Top Ten from Kentucky

Statesville, NC (07-15-08) Matt Carter and the No. 46 Stine Seed Ford Fusion team will pack up and head to the Bluegrass State for the Kentucky ARCA RE/MAX 150 at Kentucky Speedway this weekend in Sparta.

The last time Carter saw the 1.5 mile asphalt track was this past May with the ARCA RE/MAX series, when he got tangled up in a last lap spin up involving several cars to turn out a 29th place finish. Just prior to the accident, Carter was running ninth and had been performing very well throughout the race. The Carter crew is definitely hoping for better luck this Friday when they return to Kentucky Speedway.

"I am feeling really confident", said Carter when asked to describe how he was feeling about this weekend's upcoming event. "I always feel like we are going to win when we leave the shop for a race."

Carter will be piloting the same machine that the team brought to Iowa and Rockingham. "The car we took to Iowa and Rockingham is a really good car", said Carter. "We did some body work on the car and made a few changes on the front end package. Hopefully it will do really well at Kentucky." Carter will head into this weekend's race third in series Driver Point Standings.

Carter and the No. 46 Stine Seed Ford Fusion will roll off pit road under the lights Friday, July 18 at 8 p.m. CST. The Kentucky ARCA RE/MAX 150 will be televised live on SPEED. Live Timing and Scoring will be available on the ARCA RE/MAX Series website at www.arcaracing.com.
