HAMLIN GEARED UP FOR MICHIGAN
(Concord, NC) - Kevin Hamlin and the Ken Schrader Dodge will be making their second appearance of the year in this weekend's ARCA Re/Max Series Hantz Group 200 at Michigan International Speedway. Hamlin made his ARCA debut earlier this season at Kentucky Speedway, where he qualified 6th and finished 5th in the Schrader Dodge.
Hamlin's strong run at Kentucky turned some heads in the garage area, and he and the team are looking to build on their strong run last month.
"I am excited to get back in the seat," said Hamlin. "We had such a strong run at Kentucky, and I think we can improve on that at MIS. We were pretty conservative in my first race, and I was able to get some 2-mile testing in last week so I think we're ready to go."
The event kicks off on Thursday at Michigan with practice and qualifying, and the Hantz Group 200 gets underway just after 5pm on Friday night. Hamlin is confident his team will be prepared.
"The Ken Schrader Racing team has worked hard to get the car ready, and the Kroyer Engine is good to go. I can't wait to get on track," said Hamlin.
The race will be shown live on Speed Channel at 5pm on Friday, and fans can keep up with Kevin's progress through the weekend at KevinHamlin.com
