Passmore Takes Busy Schedule into Michigan International Speedway

Following Successful Erie Test:

Christi Passmore enjoys her busy lifestyle of racing, flying and of course the travel between the two. However over the past two weeks, Passmore and her No. 91 G.A.P. Roofing/Asphalt & Fuel Supply Ford have been strictly focused on racing as she and her team traveled directly from last weekend's event at the Pocono Raceway to the Lake Erie Speedway for two days of testing before arriving at the Michigan International Speedway for this weekend's Flagstar 200 ARCA RE/MAX Series race.

"This has been a busy season and especially a busy month so far," said Passmore. "We have been on the road pretty much since the test session at Gateway before the Kansas race. Kansas was a fun weekend because there were so many family and friends in attendance, but after that we have just been on the go with the race at Pocono and test at Lake Erie. I was able to get a lot of flight time in before the season really got going, but it looks like I will have to wait until we slow down again to get back in the pilot's seat."

Passmore earned her pilot's license earlier in the 2004 season after spending the time between Daytona and Nashville at a flight school in Texas followed by time in her plane in Oklahoma. Since then Passmore has focused on the racing season along with a very hectic testing schedule. Her most recent test came on Monday and Tuesday following the Pocono race when the team headed to the Lake Erie Speedway with Car 14, which was recently repaired in Mooresville, North Carolina after an accident during the Toledo event earlier this season. Passmore enjoyed a successful two-day test session improving on her times from last season's Lake Erie event.

"It was a good test session for us at Lake Erie," said Passmore. "I really like the car that we tested with, it is a sister car to 15 which we have been running really well with on the larger speedways. This car was the one we ran at Toledo earlier this season and I think it will show its strength when we get back to Lake Erie. But this weekend we are focusing everything on the Michigan International Speedway because it is a race track that I don't have a lot of experience on and unfortunately I didn't get to finish the race last season due to an accident. The practice time that we will have on Thursday and Friday will really be important. I am just hoping for a solid finish this weekend."

The Flagstar 200 will take the green flag at 1:00pm ET on Saturday, June 19 and can be seen on Speed Channel later the same day at 8:00pm ET.
