Positive Attitude Keeping Bryan Silas Focused On New Jersey
"Silas Leaning On New Leader For Fourth Quarter Turn"

MILLVILLE, New Jersey (August 11, 2010) - - It's hard to argue that the 2010 ARCA Racing Series (ARS) presented by RE/MAX and Menards season hasn't lived up to it's expectation for Bryan Silas and the Fast Track Racing (FTR) team. However, the Stuart, Florida native is vowing to prove that his shield of concentration will not be penetrated, especially heading into Sunday's Garden State ARCA 150 presented by American Red Cross at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP).

A disappointing finish last Saturday night at Berlin (Mich.) Raceway has tried to thwart Silas's confidence on and off the track but the veteran ARCA driver has leaned on faith and determination to overcome one of the biggest roller coaster rides of his racing career.

[IMAGE]"You have to keep positive," said Silas, who's managed four top-10 finishes thus far in 2010. "We've experienced more than our fair share of bad luck. But, if you let that take you down the road of no hope; then you might as well not go onto the next race."

With the ARCA tour making a stop in New Jersey for the second and final road course event of the year, Silas is upbeat about his chances of a solid finish, especially at New Jersey Motorsports Park. "New Jersey Motorsports Park is a super nice facility," explained the 23-year old driver. "Before ARCA came to the track, I was one of the first drivers to actually compete on the course in a Koni event for TRG Motorsports. It's not easy competing on a road course, especially when it's not your specialty, but I'm comfortable with the track which has me arriving there extremely optimistic."

Another reason Silas may be having good vibes about the approaching weekend, could be the arrival of new crew chief Wayne Giles. Giles, who joined Fast Track Racing earlier this week after a stint at Turner Motorsports, takes the reins from interim crew chief Dave McClure who has been promoted to general manager of Fast Track Racing's ARCA and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) programs.

"I appreciate Dave stepping in and helping us out for a couple races," Silas added. "It was good to work with him again. I met Wayne (Giles) last weekend at Berlin (Mich.) Raceway and I am confident that his impressive resume can steer our ship back on track and make these last eight races memorable."
