MILLVILLE, N.J. (August 14, 2010)- Frank Kimmel came to New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) looking to maintain his points position and continue his trend of top-10 finishes at the 2.25-mile road course. The Ansell/Menards team came to the track today ready for practice and qualifying in preparation for Sunday afternoon's Garden State ARCA 150 by American Red Cross.

Kimmel drove his Ansell/Menards Ford Fusion on to the track during the two afternoon practice sessions looking to log laps and get acclimated to making both right and left turns. After turning a lap time of 86.809 seconds (93.308 mph) during the first session, Kimmel picked up nearly a full second in the second session with a time of 85.843 seconds (94.358 mph).

"All in all that was probably the best practice session we have had on a road course," said Kimmel. "I've gotten better and better every time we go out. The car is getting better; I'm actually able to tell Bill and the team what I want the car to do. Every change seems to help it a little bit. We have a little ways to go to catch up, but we're a lot closer than we have been in the past. I'm looking forward to qualifying and having a good race."

Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell began a short time after the completion of practice, and the ARCA Racing Series stars began to make their runs in road-course qualifying format- groups of five cars put together based on practice speeds. Kimmel went out in the third of seven groups to complete his qualifying run. He completed two laps during his 10-minute session before choosing to bring his No. 44 Ford to the garage. Kimmel's lap time of 84.695 seconds (95.637) will line him up 14th for Sunday afternoon's 150-mile race.
