Millville: Gabi DiCarlo preview

DiCarlo Road Course Ready

Denver, NC (September 22, 2008) - Although the cars will be much heavier and have more horsepower, Gabi DiCarlo driver of the Stringer Motorsports number 90 Great Clips Racing Toyota Camry is ready for the challenges of a road course. The ARCA RE/MAX series in which DiCarlo competes will make a stop at the brand new Thunderbolt Raceway 2.3 mile paved road course in New Jersey Motorsports Park. Gabi started her career in motorsports on road courses throughout the southwest and has proven to be very skilled in the techniques associated with the challenging circuits.

Gabi is currently 14th in the ARCA RE/MAX Series Championship points and is coming off what many say was her best race to date. "We have had some great runs lately," said Gabi. "I feel confident and enjoy road racing so I plan to keep the momentum going"

The Great Clips Team will spend a day testing at Carolina Motorsports Park a road course where Gabi first caught the eye of Stringer Motorsports Team owner Doug Stringer.

"We had a test at CMP with team drivers Kasey Kahne and Tyler Walker," said Stringer. "Gabi who was just 18 at the time jumped into the car and gave the boys a run for their money"

The Great Clips Team will then head to New Jersey Motorsports Park and the running of the Loud Energy Drink 150 which will be contested Sunday September28th at 1:00pm ET.
