We ran out of green flag laps!

Jason Jarrett, after overcoming some late race car troubles, managed to stay on the lead lap and finish a solid eleventh place in this past weekend's PFG Lester 150 held at Nashville Superspeedway located in Lebanon, Tennessee.

Qualifying and an early practice session produced less than satisfactory results for Jarrett and the crew of the #67 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, and had Jarrett ending up with a 21st starting position. During final practice, however, they seemed to get the car "dialed in" and were ready to go.

At the start of the race, Jason's plan was just to drive the track and move quietly up through the field, letting the leaders battle it out and wear their tires out, and be there at the end of the race.

The first yellow flag came around lap 27, with Jarrett coming down pit road in 16th place, reporting to crew chief, Scott Eldridge that the tires had "no grip" and the car felt like it was floating on top of the track.

A four tire change with a slight adjustment in pressure to the right rear, and a, once again, stellar performance by the #67 pit crew, sent Jarrett back out on the track in ninth place - a pick up of 7 positions!

This second run, the tires were much better and saw Jarrett get as high up as seventh place at one point. And, another great pit stop by this crew - Jason came in ninth, came out seventh; two more spots!

Several cautions with long delays for clean up, marred this race event. There were a total of seven cautions with 51 laps under the yellow flag.

On a restart around lap 82, Jarrett called in that the "battery was dead." Caution flew again a few laps later, and the crew managed to get the battery changed without Jason losing a lap. With the number of laps run under the yellow flag, there was little time at the end of the race to gain back any spots.

Following a caution on lap 93 Jarrett reported a "little bit of a push" and that he had gotten "jammed up" on the previous restart which had allowed Rick Carelli to pass Jason on the inside for tenth place.

"We had a good car," With so many caution laps, particularly toward the end of the race, it was difficult to come back and be in a position to win. I was glad the guys were able to keep me on the lead lap," remarked Jarrett.

Next, the ARCA RE/MAX series moves on to Salem, Indiana for the "Kentuckiana" Ford Dealers ARCA 200 beginning at 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, April 27th. This is one of Jarrett's favorite tracks, and he's hungry for a win - key ingredients for making it happen and picking up that trophy!

Jason Jarrett is the driver of the #67 ML Motorsports Biomet / Damon RV sponsored Chevrolet Monte Carlo team based out of Warsaw, Indiana. Jarrett is also a member of the Coca-Cola Racing Family, and has an associate sponsorship with Tuscany Automotives.
