Frank Kimmel Hopes to Find Lady Luck at Home Track
Seeking a Record 10th-Career Victory at Salem Speedway

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (September 15, 2010) - After a grueling seven-week stretch for the ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards, there could be no better medicine for Frank Kimmel and his Ansell/Menards team than coming home to race at Salem Speedway. A trip to the historic Indiana track for Kimmel means a return to the place where he last visited victory lane in the ARCA Racing Series 41 races ago. It's a victory lane that he has been to a record nine times in ARCA competition, and there is no better place for Kimmel to end that daunting 41-race winless streak than Salem Speedway.

This weekend at Salem's half-mile high-banked oval, Kimmel and his Ansell/Menards team are hoping to find the luck that has eluded them the past few races and crawl back into the midst of the points battle.

"To win at Salem would really mean a lot right now," said the nine-time ARCA Racing Series champion. "We have not had the finishes we deserve the past couple of races, and we have fallen behind in the points. To come and win at whatever the next race track is would be really big, but the fact that it is also Salem, our home track, a win would mean that much more. We always have so much support from friends, family and the fans there; it would be a perfect way to end this skid that we are in right now."

A victory at Salem Speedway would mean more than an end to Kimmel's bad luck; it would also add to his impressive record at the half-mile track, putting him in Salem Speedway's record books for a record 10th time.

On-track activities for the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers ARCA Fall Classic will begin on Saturday, September 18 with practice from 1:05 - 2:35 p.m. EST and qualifying at 4:00 p.m. Fans will have the opportunity to get autographs from their favorite ARCA driver from 4:45 - 5:15 p.m. before the green flag drops for 200 laps of short-track action at 7:00 p.m. Live timing and scoring and audio streaming can be found on ARCAracing.com during the event.

Frank Kimmel and the No. 44 Ansell/Menards Fast Facts

In the Points: After bad luck plagued the Ansell/Menards team again at Toledo, Kimmel maintained his fourth position in the standings but fell 140 points behind the lead with three races remaining on the schedule.

Last Salem Race: In the spring event at Salem Speedway, Kimmel fought handling problems for most of the race before racing to an eighth-place finish. The finish was his first top-10 of the 2010 season.

This Week's Ford: Crew Chief, Bill Kimmel Jr., has chosen to bring chassis No. 340, "Cortney" to Salem. This chassis, an intermediate track chassis, was used for the first time at Toledo Speedway last weekend.

Did You Know?: Frank Kimmel is not the only member of the Kimmel family fighting for a championship this season. Frank Kimmel II, Kimmel's 20-year-old son, is currently leading the standings in the Superstock Division at Salem Speedway with only one race remaining on the schedule.

Meet Frank Kimmel: Kimmel will be signing autographs on the front stretch of Salem Speedway on Saturday, September 18 from 4:45 - 5:15 p.m. EST.
