Allgaier Searches for a Spell Breaker in Salem

Salem, Indiana (September 12, 2007 ) -As the ARCA RE/MAX Series heads to the Salem Speedway for the second time in the 2007 season, Justin Allgaier hopes to break the spell that has seem to haunt him this season. Although it may be Salem, Indiana and the Salem Speedway we are referring to but Allgaier's determination is to break the streak of last lap spins and mechanical issues that have kept him out of contention for a victory so far this season. Allgaier looks to advance two spots from his best finish and bring home the win at the .555-mile short track.

Allgaier has five previous starts at the Salem Speedway with a best starting spot on the grid in the second position with a best finish of third he accomplished twice. His first top-three finish was in the fall 2003 ARCA race and the second podium place finish came in the spring 2006 event. In that event, Allgaier had to pit for suspension damage after clipping the wall early in the race. Allgaier resurged through the field finishing third in the event.

"I'm looking forward to going back to Salem," Allgaier said. "We are taking Gator which has been a good little short track car for us. I was pretty tight last year after I clipped the wall and had some suspension issues. The top line was the preferred line and I had some trouble keeping the car up there. We made some notes from that race and the previous years. All we can do is get back out there and try to shake this bad streak and see victory in the last few races of the season."
