Ansell to Sponsor Chicagoland ARCA RE/MAX Series Race on August 28

TALLADEGA, Ala. (April 24, 2009)--Officials from the Automobile Racing Club of America, Chicagoland Speedway and Ansell Protective Products, Inc. announced today that Ansell will sponsor the ARCA RE/MAX Series race at Chicagoland Speedway on August 28, 2009. The Ansell Cut Protection 150, race 16 of the 22-race ARCA RE/MAX Series, rolls off at 6:30 p.m. Eastern on Friday, August 28, live on SPEED.

"We're very excited to partner with a company that has so much pride in its drive and ability to produce innovative and quality safety equipment," said Matthew Alexander, president of Chicagoland Speedway. "Ansell has such a long-standing tradition of providing its clients with exactly what they need to succeed in safer and more productive work environments. We appreciate the kind of dedication that allows a company like Ansell to become an industry leader, and we look forward to working with them over the coming year."

The Ansell Cut Protection 150 marks the first time that Ansell, the world-wide leader in protective hand wear, has provided title sponsorship of an ARCA RE/MAX Series race event. Ansell will use the event entitlement to promote the company's extensive line of hand protection products.

"Ansell is thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with the Chicagoland Speedway to bring the excitement of ARCA racing to fans across the country," said Steve York, director of channel development for Ansell. "The Ansell 150 will afford us the opportunity to communicate the advanced technology in hand protection that Ansell products provide."

The Ansell Cut Protection 150 marks the ARCA RE/MAX Series' ninth appearance to Chicagoland Speedway since 2001. Former ARCA RE/MAX Series winners at the track include Ed Berrier, Dawayne Bryan, Chad Blount, Frank Kimmel, Kyle Krisiloff, Scott Lagasse, Jr., Michael McDowell and Steve Wallace.

Practice for the Ansell Cut Protection 150 is scheduled for Thursday, August 27. Qualifying is on Friday at 12:05 p.m. The Ansell Cut Protection 150 will take the green flag at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 28, and will serve as a preamble for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event later that evening. The Indy Racing League will close out August race weekend at Chicagoland Speedway on Saturday, August. 29.
