Summit Racing Equipment Extends ARCA Performance Partners Program Sponsorship

(TALLMADGE, Ohio) - Summit Racing Equipment has extended its sponsorship program within the ARCA Performance Partners Program. Summit will once again serve as a contingency sponsor for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards.

Summit Racing Equipment is the world's largest mail-order automotive performance equipment company. Headquartered in Tallmadge, Ohio, the company has three retail store and distribution centers: Tallmadge, Ohio; Sparks, Nev.; and McDonough, Ga.

"2010 marked Summit's initial involvement with oval track racing as a sponsor," said Mark Gundrum, vice president of marketing and communications for ARCA. "I believe that this is only the beginning of a very exciting relationship between ARCA and Summit Racing."

The 2011 Summit Racing Equipment Performance Partners Contingency Awards Program will offer $300 per event to teams carrying the Summit Racing Equipment decal, and a $2,000 cash bonus at the season-ending Championship Awards Banquet.

"We're excited to extend our relationship with the ARCA Performance Partners program," said Jim Greenleaf, motorsports and event manager for Summit Racing Equipment. "We have been very aggressive adding additional circle track vendors to our product lineup over the last year. Working with the ARCA teams gives us the opportunity to showcase these new product offerings to circle track racers. ARCA has a diverse group of drivers, from experienced veterans to the up-and-coming stars of tomorrow, which makes for some exciting racing."

Founded as a part-time, one-person business in 1968, Summit Racing has grown into the industry leader in both mail-order and online high-performance parts and equipment sales. Summit Racing Equipment supports and sponsors the NHRA Summit Racing Series and the IHRA Summit Super Series. Summit Racing Equipment sponsors three NHRA Full Throttle Series national events and professional NHRA/ADRL race teams. Summit Racing offers contingency money to racers in the IHRA, NHRA, and SCCA. Summit Racing Equipment also sponsors BIGFOOT, a monster truck that competes in MTRA (Monster Truck Racing Association) events.

As an active member in the Specialty Equipment Market Association, National Hot Rod Association, International Hot Rod Association, and National Street Rod Association, Summit Racing Equipment is the leader in the high-performance automotive industry.

The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards opens its 59th season of competition in the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 on February 12 at Daytona International Speedway. The 80-lap, 200-mile race - the first of 19 races for the developmental stock car tour in 2011 - will air live on SPEED.
