ARCA, RE/MAX EXTEND TITLE SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT
COVINGTON, KY (12-8-07)--Officials of the ARCA racing sanctioning body and global real estate franchisor RE/MAX International have announced a series title sponsorship extension under which RE/MAX will continue in its role as the exclusive title sponsor of ARCA's premier racing series, the ARCA RE/MAX Series, through 2011.
"This extension is a direct result of the proven track record of the series title sponsorship, the high level of return on investment the sponsorship provides to RE/MAX, the excellent business relationship between ARCA, RE/MAX and SPEED, and the high level of confidence RE/MAX has developed with the entire ARCA organization," said RE/MAX Vice President Randy Morse. "On behalf of RE/MAX, I'm proud to confirm that RE/MAX is extending its commitment as the ARCA RE/MAX Series title sponsor through 2011. We are pleased to continue our partnership with ARCA, which has solidly established its motorsports industry position and continues to be a model of consistency and credibility in the sport."
The RE/MAX real estate network, founded in 1973, continues its exponential growth. RE/MAX now operates in over 7,000 offices worldwide with more than 120,000 affiliates.
"The ARCA RE/MAX Series title sponsorship is our company's highest level marketing initiative," said ARCA President Ron Drager. "Our goal at the onset of our relationship with RE/MAX was to enter into a long term agreement with a series sponsor which could help ARCA grow, and provide that sponsor with valuable marketing opportunities. ARCA and RE/MAX have worked together to identify measurable goals and deliver value in achieving them. Given RE/MAX's international presence and strong industry position, their continuing commitment to our series elevates and carries the series forward."
For nearly 20 years, nine-time ARCA RE/MAX Series champion Frank Kimmel has been active on the tour. "To be able to announce something as significant as this speaks volumes for ARCA and RE/MAX," said Kimmel. "It says the ARCA RE/MAX Series has stability, and that both ARCA and RE/MAX are quality companies with a lot to offer one another."
Celebrating its 56th year of operation in 2008, the 21-event ARCA RE/MAX Series race schedule takes the series to some of the nation's most prestigious superspeedways, including Daytona Int'l Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway, Nashville Superspeedway, Kentucky Speedway, Pocono Raceway, Michigan Int'l Speedway, Kansas Speedway and Chicagoland Speedway. The series will expand to new markets in 2008 with races at the New Jersey Motorsports Park road course, Cayuga Speedway in Nelles Corner, Ontario and Rockingham Speedway in North Carolina. In addition, the series will compete at traditional short track venues at Salem Speedway (IN), Toledo Speedway (OH), Iowa Speedway, Berlin Raceway (MI) and the mile dirt state fairgrounds tracks in Springfield and DuQuoin, Illinois.
The 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series opens with the 45th annual Daytona ARCA 200 at Daytona Int'l Speedway Saturday, February 9th live on SPEED at 4 pm Eastern.
