BUESCHER AT TEXAS... Buescher has made three career starts at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS), all of which came last season (2009) in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, as well as the NASCAR Nationwide Series. In his two Truck Series starts (June and November), the youngster captured two top-20 finishes, while completing 98.7% of the laps competed (310 of 314). Last November, Buescher made his first start with current team Phoenix Racing in the Nationwide Series event, where the team partnered for an 11th-place effort, after completing 100% of the laps competed (200 of 200). In addition to his experience on the 1.5-mile quad-oval, Buescher has captured a victory at TMS's other four tracks on the Fort Worth property -- Lil' Texas Motor Speedway, TMS Dirt Track, the Infield Road Course, and the Infield 1/4-Mile Track (utilizing pit road and the frontstretch).

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME... This weekend's activities at Texas Motor Speedway will mark the home state return for Buescher, as the Plano, Texas native and Katy, Texas resident will compete on the 1.5-mile high banks. Since the opening of TMS in 1997, Buescher has attended NASCAR races as a spectator, along with competing at other tracks on the speedway's property during the beginning years of his racing career.

DOUBLE DUTY... Buescher will pull double duty this Friday and Saturday, as the 20-year-old competes in both the ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards event and the NASCAR Nationwide Series race respectively. In addition to driving the No. 51 Phoenix Racing entry on Friday night, Buescher will pilot the No. 1 Phoenix Racing Chevrolet in his full-time effort.

NATIONWIDE POINTS CHECK... After six races of the 2010 season have been completed, Buescher currently sits in the 21st position in the NASCAR Nationwide Series driver championship point standings. The Texas native trails 10th-place Scott Lagasse Jr. by 121 points, but is only one point behind 20th-place Kelly Bires.

YELLOW STRIPES COMING THROUGH... The Raybestos Rookie of the Year battle in the Nationwide Series is proving to hold some serious competition, as Buescher currently trails leader Brian Scott by only one point. Buescher looks to rebound after a string of bad luck the past few weeks to regain the Rookie lead, which he held through the first five events.

DID YOU KNOW?... Buescher has been competing at Texas Motor Speedway for nine years, as he made his first start at Lil' Texas Motor Speedway when he was just 11-years-old.

GIVING BACK... This weekend, Buescher will take part in two different charity initiatives, giving back to his home state of Texas. First, while the young gun is on track, he will be wearing a special designed Wrap Buddies helmet, to help promote awareness for a non-profit organization that a good family friend, Tommy Strader, has started. Wrap Buddies creates custom wraps for bands, allowing the children to have their favorite colors, designs, characters on their medical headwear. Once the Texas weekend is over, Buescher's helmet will be auctioned off to raise money for the charity. In addition, Buescher will ask his fellow competitors to autograph a helmet for an auction for the Alzheimer's Women's Association for Resources and Education. Buescher's mother, Deborah Packer, is a member of the organization, as their family has lost loved ones to the disease. For more information about Wrap Buddies, please visit www.wrapbuddies.com.

LOOKING BACK... Last week the NASCAR Nationwide Series visited the Arizona desert, as Buescher and his Phoenix Racing team had their first one-day show of the 2010 season at Phoenix (Ariz.) International Raceway. Starting from the 27th position, Buescher, who returned to the site of his first NNS start two years ago, quickly moved up into the top-20 by lap 15. The Marc Reno and Nick Harrison-led team kept making adjustments to fine tune the handling of the No. 1 Chevrolet and Buescher continued to have a solid effort. Unfortunately on the lap 137 restart, Buescher found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, as the leader slowed, causing a 10 car pile-up. Front end damage was received, but after quick repairs Buescher returned to the track and finished in a disappointing 28th-place.

QUOTES FROM BEHIND THE WHEEL:

BUESCHER (On racing at Texas Motor Speedway): "I'm excited to get back to racing at Texas Motor Speedway. It is always enjoyable and a great time to race there, since I grew up watching races since the track opened in 1997, on top of participating in races on the smaller tracks when I was just starting my career. I've been fortunate to capture a victory at every track on TMS property, except the 1.5-mile oval. I now have some seat time under my belt on the big track and hopefully we can capture one if not two victories this weekend. I'm really looking forward to competing in both the ARCA and Nationwide Series races this weekend and I know my Phoenix Racing guys will give me two great cars. Hopefully this bad luck will stop following us and we can get back to finishing in the top-10 and top-five each week. Also, I will be sporting a special helmet for Wrap Buddies, a non-profit organization that a good friend of mine has started. So, I'm definitely ready to go racing back in my home state."
