The Harley Davidson of Cincinnati 150 was delayed by thunderstorms on Saturday, May 14. Sunday, the ARCA/REMAX schedule began with early morning qualifying. After going out fourth for his qualifying run, Todd had to wait over two hours to find out where he would start the race. Eight crashes during qualifying delayed the results. When qualifying was complete, Todd had locked in the 32nd starting position.
When the green flag waved at 3:00 p.m., it did not stay out long. The caution flag flew before the entire field took the green flag. By lap seven, the yellow flew again. After only two green flag laps in this race, Todd was in the 24th position. But after restarting on lap ten, Todd radioed the crew that he had a flat tire. During the green flag pit stops to change the flat, Todd lost two laps.
Todd continued to gain positions throughout the remaining 84 laps, finishing 23rd. Frank Kimmel, Chad Blount, Joey Miller, Ken Weaver and Kevin Hamlin finished in the top five positions.
"Of course we are very disappointed in our finish for the Safe Auto Insurance Ford. We were certainly hoping for a better finish given our previous runs at Kentucky Speedway. We hope to rebound at Toledo next weekend," said Todd.
Todd moved into the 6th position in the ARCA/REMAX series points standings after the weekend's race.
The Hantz Group 200 will take place Sunday, May 22 at Toledo Speedway at 2:00 p.m. EST. It will be covered live on Speed Channel.
