The Hantz 200 Sunday, May 22 at Toledo Speedway was a typical short track race.

The weather, once again, played havoc with the race schedule. After having an optional practice for two hours Saturday, Sunday's schedule began with a 45 minute practice session. With over fifty cars planning to qualify, the rain halted qualifying after twenty eight cars had taken their shot at the pole. After a lengthy rain shower, qualifying was cancelled and the field was set by car owner points.

With Todd starting from the seventh position, the race began almost 1 ½ hours late. This was a disappointing situation for all of the ARCA/REMAX race fans who were watching the Toledo Hantz 200 live on Speed Channel. Fortunately, Speed extended the original coverage by an hour, but even this amount of extra time wasn't enough. Todd fell back from his seventh starting position because of a tight condition on the GFS Marketplace Ford. On lap 45 the rain began again and the race was red-flagged for 1 ½ hours.

The race restarted with Todd in 13th position. When the caution flew on lap 87, Todd brought the #21 to the attention of the Jack Bowsher & Associates Motorsports crew. After completing a two tire pit stop, Todd left the pits in the 10th spot. He continued to hold this position until lap 105 when he radioed the crew that he had broken a gear. This ended the team's day, relegating Todd to the 29th position. Todd also dropped to 12th in the year-long points race.

Ken Schrader, Frank Kimmel, Jason Jarrett, David Ragan and TJ Bell finished in the top five positions.

The next race for the Safe Auto Insurance Ford is Saturday, May 28 at the 3/8 mile Lanier National Speedway in Braselton, Georgia. The William Bros. 200 will begin with practice at 2:00 pm EST. The 200 lap event is scheduled for an 8:00 start.
