Asian LMS finale for Blomqvist
The #90 BMW M6 GT3 will once again be manned by Tom Blomqvist, Jesse Krohn and Akira debuting at another new circuit, the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.

Tom Blomqvist will complete his Asian Le Mans Series exploits this weekend when he travels to Malaysia for the final race of the 2016/17 season. After experiencing a turbulent first half to their season, Team FIST - AAI recovered in style two weeks ago when they secured 4th place after an all-round positive weekend on the track.
The #90 BMW M6 GT3 will once again be manned by Tom, Jesse Krohn and Akira Iida this weekend - a partnership that produced their first race result of the season in Thailand.
This weekend Tom will be debuting at another new circuit, the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, a 3.45-mile circuit that has been an annual fixture on the F1 calendar since 1999 and the Moto GP since 1991. Designed by Hermann Tilke, the designer of eight current Formula One tracks, Sepang has always been a huge favourite amongst the drivers. With its combination of twisting complexes and long high-speed straights, as well it’s sheer width, the track is fast, challenging and ideal for overtaking.
Tom is looking forward to the weekend’s racing and hoping for a successful conclusion to his Asian Le Mans Series experience.
“I’m really looking forward to this weekend in Malaysia. Sepang looks like an awesome track and I can’t wait to get out there. Hopefully the track should be suited to our package - weather dependent though, as it could rain at any moment there! It would be great to end my experience in the ALMS (Asian Le Mans Series), and with Team FIST – AAI, on a high note.”
In the GT Class, Tom is currently sat tied 10th in the Driver Standings and Team FIST - AAI are 8th in the Team Standings. Free Practice starts at 08:15 (local time) on Saturday the 21st of January, with the 4-hour season finale on Sunday at 12:15.
